Listing Policy

Version 1.0 — Effective 25 May 2026

1. What Aven is for

Aven is a marketplace for pre-owned and vintage fashion: clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewellery that you personally own and want to pass on. Items must be physical, in your possession, and ready to ship within 5 business days of payment.

2. Listing standards

Photos

• At least one clear, well-lit photo of the actual item you are selling — no stock images, no images downloaded from the brand site or another seller.
• Show any flaws (stains, holes, fading, loose stitching, scratches on hardware) in a separate photo.
• No filters that materially change colour, texture, or condition. No watermarks of other resale platforms.
• For bags, watches, jewellery, and other items where authenticity matters: show interior labels, serial numbers, datecodes, hardware stamps, and any authenticity card.

Title & description

• Brand, item type, size, and condition must be accurate.
• Disclose meaningful flaws in the description (not only in the photo).
• Disclose alterations, repairs, replaced hardware, missing original components, or non-original accessories.
• If the item is unbranded or you are uncertain of the brand, mark it as "Unbranded" rather than guessing.

Condition grades

Use the closest match — buyers rely on these.

• New with tags — never worn, original tags attached.
• New without tags — never worn, no tags.
• Excellent — worn a few times, no visible flaws.
• Very good — light signs of wear, no significant flaws.
• Good — visible wear, all flaws disclosed.
• Fair / vintage — significant wear or age-related flaws; all disclosed.

Price

• Prices are in Israeli new shekels (₪) and should include any VAT you are required to collect.
• Don't set obviously off-market prices to manipulate search rankings.
• Don't list the same item twice; pick the better listing and delete the duplicate.

3. Prohibited items

The following are not allowed on Aven, with no exceptions:

• Counterfeits, replicas, "inspired by", "dupes", and unauthorised copies of branded goods — including super-fakes, "1:1" replicas, and items sold honestly as fake.
• Stolen goods, items obtained by fraud, or items under recall.
• Underwear, swimwear with hygiene tags removed, socks that have been worn, and any item with active soiling.
• Real fur (unless explicitly vintage and pre-1990, with clear labelling), ivory, tortoiseshell, sea turtle, exotic-leather items requiring CITES permits without the permit shown.
• Weapons of any kind, replica firearms that fire pellets/airsoft, ammunition, military uniforms with current Israeli insignia, body armour.
• Recreational or prescription drugs, vapes, e-cigarettes, tobacco products.
• Hazardous materials — flammable liquids, batteries shipped alone, aerosols, pesticides.
• Cosmetics, perfume, skincare, makeup (used or sealed), nail polish — including unopened.
• Food, supplements, vitamins.
• Medical devices, contact lenses, glasses with prescription lenses.
• Live animals, animal products requiring veterinary certificates.
• Items that infringe a third party's trademark, copyright, or design rights (see IP Policy).
• Items glorifying violence, hate, terrorism, or organisations designated as terrorist under Israeli law.
• Adult content, sex toys, pornographic clothing, or items targeting minors with sexualised themes.
• Currency, lottery tickets, gift cards above ₪200, items intended to launder money.
• Any item the seller cannot lawfully sell or ship under Israeli law or the buyer's local law.

4. Authenticated categories

For high-value designer items (Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and similar brands above a price threshold we may set from time to time), we may require additional photos or third-party authentication before the listing goes live. We will notify you in-app if your listing falls into this tier.

5. Communication standards

• Be courteous to other users. No insults, harassment, slurs, sexual content, or threats.
• Do not solicit transactions outside Aven (e.g., "DM me on Instagram and I'll cut the price"). This circumvents buyer protection and is grounds for suspension.
• Do not share another user's private contact information without consent.

6. Live broadcasts

• Show the items you say you are selling. Keep the listing details on screen accurate.
• No shilling — you may not bid on your own items, ask friends to drive prices, or use multiple accounts.
• Don't broadcast minors, recognisable bystanders without their consent, or copyrighted media (music tracks, films) playing in the background.
• Comply with the Aven Community Guidelines we publish from time to time.

7. Enforcement

Aven uses a combination of automated signals and human review. Where we identify a violation we may, depending on severity and intent:

• Hide or delete the listing.
• Cancel and refund affected orders.
• Issue a warning.
• Suspend selling features.
• Permanently terminate the account.
• Report criminal activity (counterfeits, stolen goods) to the police.

If you believe enforcement was incorrect, write to rbesserat@gmail.com (or support@aven.co.il once provisioned) within 14 days for a human review.

8. Updates

We may update this policy at any time. Material updates will be announced in-app and the "Version" line above will change.
